Samsung Innovation Campus is a transformative ICT education program that equips educators and learners with future-ready digital skills, preparing them to successfully navigate a rapidly-changing digital landscape. The program was designed to feature both an in-school classroom implementation component as well as an online, free-to-access platform to supplement learning.
The in-school component of the program transforms the ICT classroom from the typical passive, lecture-based format into one where students are active participants in group work and discussions surrounding important ICT topics such as computational thinking, media literacy, and cybersecurity. The in-school program provides hands-on training to ICT teachers across Thailand and provides support as they implement a modernized ICT curriculum in their own classrooms using the active learning framework. The program emphasizes relatability in its curriculum, and puts a focus on making sure students see how different ICT topics can have an effect on their own lives, both digital and offline.
The online component of the Samsung Innovation Campus program provides free-to-access, self-paced courses on additional ICT topics including Programming, Software Development, and Artificial Intelligence. The courses are developed in collaboration with domain experts with a focus on practical applications of ICT topics.
By pairing in-person classroom implementation with scalable digital learning, Samsung Innovation Campus enables a shift in the classroom from passive learning to active student-led inquiry and discussion, while providing a platform for continuing education on a breadth of ICT topics.
